WOLF CREEK GOLF CLUB
Since opening in 2000, golfers from all over the world have traveled to Wolf Creek Golf Club to experience a one of a kind golf adventure. Wolf Creek is a fantasy calendar come to life, with holes clinging to stark canyon hillsides and plunging down narrow ravines.
Standing on the first tee at Wolf Creek looking down several hundred feet to the fairway in the valley below only gives a glimpse of what is yet to come. The first question that comes to mind is “how did they ever build the course?”
The 360-degree vistas of red rock mountains, desert, mesas, steep cliffs and ravines would more likely be an environment to be explored on the Discovery Channel rather than the Golf Channel.
Wolf Creek is regularly mentioned as a bucket list course with other famous courses such as Pebble Beach, Bandon Dunes and Whistling Straits. The course was named Best New Course in 2002 by Golf Digest. For 10 straight years it was ranked in the top 100 of Americas Greatest Golf Courses you can play.
OASIS GOLF RESORT - PALMER COURSE & CANYONS COURSE
The Oasis Golf Club features two magnificent courses, the Palmer Course and the Canyons Course.
The facility is Mesquite's only 36-hole golf resort. The Palmer course was designed by Arnold Palmer in 1995. This par-71 course offers five different tees and some of the most scenic desert panoramas in Southern Nevada. It’s rugged canyon fairways and meticulous contour greens set this course apart as one of the best 18 holes you can play. The Palmer Course has been rated among the “Top 10 You Can Play” by Golf Digest.
The Canyon course at Oasis Golf Club is a unique design with a front and back nine having different layouts, designed by different architects. The front nine was designed by David Druzisky, an award-winning golf architect, in 2005 and the back nine was designed by Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay. The par 71 course offers breathtaking desert-style links.
CONESTOGA GOLF CLUB
This 18 hole scenic masterpiece is artfully interwoven with the character and contours of Sun City Mesquite’s spectacular landforms. FALCON RIDGE GOLF CLUB
Imagine towering tee shots from high plateaus to emerald carpets, framed by bright white-sand bunkers and sparkling lakes, and you have envisioned the fantasy-like Falcon Ridge Golf Course in Mesquite, Nevada.
The golf course is spectacular in design and challenging in nature. The front nine presents some pretty golf holes, and the back nine is simply outstanding golf.
A word of caution , there are some complicated, devious par fours that are short in distance yet tough on the scorecard. Holes nine, eleven and thirteen present blind tee shots off the tee, with white/black striped barber poles providing good targets on the fairways.
Just three sets of tees are utilized, with the tips measuring 6546 yards, the Silver tees 5976 yards, and the Golds 4821 yards. Bunkering is understated but effective, and although water is not often in play - when it is, the environment is spectacular.
