Many thanks for your inquiry, we would love to be your resource for all your golf travel needs!
Epic Golf Travel was founded over 25 years ago and our company partners are PGA Professionals who have over 75 years of golf industry and travel experience. We are members of the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO), the leading international golf tourism organization, as well as the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA). Our commitment is to deliver an exceptional golf travel experience... every client, every trip, every time.
We are a Preferred Partner of Pebble Beach and work closely with the resort throughout the year. Our clients enjoy all the known and little known perks and amenities during their stay.
Our approach is based on three guiding principles... exceptional service, unprecedented value for your dollar and a fantastic golf travel experience.
The attached schedule is based on 4 golfers traveling and includes 6 nights deluxe lodging, 4 rounds of golf and numerous other inclusions listed below.
For your lodging, I suggest Garden View King Guest Rooms while staying at The Lodge at Pebble Beach. The Lodge overlooks Pebble Beach Golf Links and has sweeping views across the golf course to the Pacific Ocean. The rooms include an outdoor patio or balcony, gas-burning fireplace and a spacious seating area. Here is a virtual tour of this room type at The Lodge at Pebble Beach.
For the rest of your stay, I suggest one of the many wonderful condos we represent in downtown Carmel. All are an easy walk to all Carmel has to offer.. shops, restaurants, a tour of the gingerbread homes, the beach...
For your golf I suggest Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Club, Poppy Hills Golf Club and Pacific Grove Golf Club. More information on your lodging and golf courses may be found below.
Tiger Wood's new par 3 course, The Hay, has just opened at Pebble Beach and we can arrange tee times for you there as well.
Should this itinerary suit your needs and if you are flying into the San Francisco area, I suggest you fly into the San Jose Airport, which is the closest international airport to Monterey, about one hour by road.
If you fly directly into the Monterey Airport, Pebble Beach offers complementary ride service to and from the resort. There are also complementary shuttles at the resort that will take you to and from the golf courses and to and from any restaurants or other venues on property. You would not need a rental vehicle using this airport. For your golf at Pasatiempo, you could make use of the Pebble Beach shuttle service that day.

PEBBLE BEACH GOLF LINKS
Ranked #17 in Top 100 Golf Courses in the World
18 holes, 72 par, 6828 yards
Pebble Beach hosted its sixth U.S. Open in 2019, and its fifth U.S. Amateur in 2018. Pebble Beach has hosted a PGA TOUR event since 1947, rolling out its green-carpet fairways not just for the game’s best golfers, but also Hall-of-Fame athletes and Hollywood stars.
It has breathtaking beauty, hole number four tees off a stretch of seven stunning seaside holes perched atop dramatic cliffs, and Pebble Beach finishes with two of the most beautiful holes in all of golf. The course design and strategy is second to none and it features some of the most famous par-3s (No. 7), par-4s (No. 8) and par-5s (No. 18) in golf and plenty of heroic shot-making opportunities.
SPYGLASS HILL GOLF CLUB
Ranked #84 in Top 100 Golf Courses in the World
18 holes, 72 par, 6960 yards
One of the most respected and revered courses in the world begins with one of the greatest opening stretches in golf: five spectacular sand-splashed holes that cruise up and down a sea of dunes while showcasing sublime oceanfront scenery and shots you’ve surely never seen.
But the defining characteristic of Spyglass Hill is how starkly the first five holes juxtapose the rest of the round. Incredible ocean views give way to the understated natural beauty of the Del Monte Forest, as the final 13 holes relentlessly examine your game with a litany of bunkers, ponds and uphill tests. Pine Valley-by-the-Sea meets Augusta National, as Sports Illustrated eloquently described it.
POPPY HILLS GOLF CLUB
Ranked #59 in Top 100 Golf Courses in California
Poppy Hills is the newest golf course in Pebble Beach, California after undergoing an extensive 13-month renovation that was completed in April 2014. The original Poppy Hills was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., and opened in 1986. Along with Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill Golf Course, Poppy Hills co-hosted the PGA Tour's AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am from 1991 to 2009, replacing Cypress Point in the rotation.
The new Poppy Hills has been widely heralded since it reopened in 2014. Golf.com Travel Writer Joe Passov said the new Poppy Hills has a "Pinehurst-like touch, with just a hint of near-neighbor Cypress Point." Golf Getaways Travel Writer Vic Williams added about the new design, "at certain times it feels like Pinehurst, other times like Augusta, with dashes of Pine Valley."
PACIFIC GROVE GOLF CLUB
The 18-hole layout, with a front nine that offers glimpses of Monterey Bay on fairways framed by Cypress trees, and an ocean-side back nine cut through windswept dunes reminiscent of a traditional Scottish links, has delighted visitors and locals alike for over 75 years.
THE LODGE AT PEBBLE BEACH
Winner of Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Hotels and Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star awards, The Lodge at Pebble Beach has been a landmark destination since 1919. Set alongside the legendary 17-Mile Drive, the coastal gem offers an unparalleled combination of breathtaking scenery and luxe touches, from its sublime spa to sea-facing guest rooms with wood-burning fireplaces. At this historic resort, you can pair championship golf with Pacific scenery for an unforgettable stay.
- Settle in by a wood-burning fireplace in one of 199 guestrooms and suites
- Relax in one of 15 massage rooms or five facial rooms at The Spa at Pebble Beach
- Abundant culinary offerings range from fresh seafood to wood-smoked steaks
From a private patio or balcony, you can enjoy stunning views of gardens, fairways, or extraordinary Pacific sunsets over Carmel Bay. Most rooms have wood-burning fireplaces, marble bathrooms, and spa suites come with a deep-soaking whirlpool tub.
We offer many different homes, condos and villas in Carmel and Monterey. This particular 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo in downtown Carmel has an open floor plan with skylights and hand-scraped hickory floors. It offers a cozy dining area and a living room with comfortable leather sofas, a flat screen TV and a gas fireplace.
The well-equipped kitchen features granite countertops and stainless appliances. The master suite has a king bed, a second fireplace, and a private bath with a large tub and a steam shower. The second guest room has a queen bed with the second bath located down the hall. There is elevator access and both a single garage and street parking.

A CLIENTS PERSPECTIVE...
Good morning Dave,
Pebble Beach was absolutely amazing! Watching the Pro-Am on TV every year, it of course looks great, but to actually see it and play it is indescribable... surprisingly playable for an amateur. I came home and re-watched this years' AT&T tourney just to relive the course again. I will be able to watch the tourney on TV from a different perspective now than those who haven't played there yet.
I loved Poppy Hills and Pasatiempo was the hardest and most challenging course I've ever played.
Thank you so much for setting up one of the most memorable experiences my father-in-law and I could share. You had it set up perfectly and everything ran smoothly.
I will definitely recommend you and already have to friends. After playing Pebble Beach, I one day want to play it again. I've checked it off the Bucket List but now it's on to St Andrews and I know who to call to make that happen!
Dave, thanks for everything, you did a wonderful job!

No exploration of California’s central coast is complete without a sojourn to Carmel-by-the-Sea, a town as well known for its shopping as it is for its most famous former civil servant, the Honorable Mayor Clint Eastwood.
This quaint amalgamation of art galleries, boutiques, hotels, shops, fine restaurants and whimsically styled homes evokes a storybook ambiance that can be appreciated by romantics of all ages. It’s no wonder why Travel + Leisure has named it as one of the "World's Best Cities for Romance."

Welcome to one of the world’s most unforgettable stretches of coastline. Big Sur's roughly 90-mile-long stretch of redwood- and fog-trimmed waterfront between Carmel-by-the-Sea and Hearst Castle draws you (and writers like Henry Miller and Beat Generation darling Jack Kerouac) in with a magic allure that is almost palpable. This is, quite simply, a place you want to be—bluffs, sea, and sky... The most beautiful and awe inspiring coastline in the world.
The classic drive through Big Sur, along twisting Highway 1, offers plenty of pullovers at places like seen-it-in-a-million-car-commercials Bixby Bridge. Stop at parks along the coastline and look up to see endangered California condors, North America’s largest birds, or look down to scan the swells for migrating whales or sea otters floating among dense beds of kelp, California’s signature seaweed.
The region’s beauty also makes it a magnet for exclusive, splurge-worthy hotels like the cliff-hugging Post Ranch Inn or luxurious Ventana Big Sur.
EDIN RIFT VINEYARDS
With vineyards dating to 1849, Eden Rift Vineyards is among the oldest, continually producing estate vineyards in California. A remote, pacific refuge located under the shadow of the Gavilan Mountain Range, the estate rests on the San Andreas Fault and is part of the Cienega Valley AVA. The views of the surrounding countryside are amazing.
Only 20 miles from the Pacific Ocean, this site benefits from an ideal, temperate maritime climate as well as the coveted calcareous soil requisite in the cultivation of vivid, energetic Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
An historic, head-trained block of Zinfandel, planted in 1906, still thrives outside the estate’s main residence, The Dickinson House. Designed by famed architect Walter Burley Griffin and also built in 1906, the Dickinson House is open for wine tasting Thursday through Monday, from 11am to 4pm.
The varieties most ideally suited to the wineries micro- and macro-climates are Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Zinfandel and Pinot Gris. Your trip includes a tour and tasting at Edin Rift.
MONTEREY BAY AQUARIUM
Located at the ocean's edge, the Monterey Bay Aquarium is a window to marine life -- for dive masters and non-swimmers alike. It's home to sea otters, penguins, sharks, jellies and thousands of other marine animals and plants.f
The Monterey Bay Aquarium is a pioneering aquarium and renowned marine conservation organization. It's mission is to inspire conservation of the ocean. The aquarium is located on historic Cannery Row in Monterey and open daily except Christmas Day. Hours vary by season. Daily schedules available at www.montereybayaquarium.org or by calling (831) 648-4800.
