Epic Golf Travel
Pebble Beach Preferred Partner pin2

June 14, 2022

Hello Jean-Marc & Nicole,

Many thanks for your inquiry, we would love to be your resource for all your golf travel needs!

Epic Golf Travel was founded over 25 years ago and our company partners are PGA Professionals who have over 75 years of golf industry and travel experience. We are members of the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO), the leading international golf tourism organization, as well as the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA). Our commitment is to deliver an exceptional golf travel experience... every client, every trip, every time.

We are a Preferred Partner of Pebble Beach and work closely with the resort throughout the year. Our clients enjoy all the known and little known perks and amenities during their stay.

Our approach is based on three guiding principles... exceptional service, unprecedented value for your dollar and a fantastic golf travel experience.

The attached schedule is based on 2 golfers traveling and includes 8 nights double King lodging, 5 rounds of golf, an automatic self-drive 5-passenger rental vehicle and numerous other inclusions listed below.

I have selected two 5 Star luxury hotels for your stay in the US. If this is not what you had in mind, we can find accommodations that will fit both your budget range and your thoughts.

For your lodging at Pebble Beach Resort, I suggest a Garden View King Guest Room at The Lodge at Pebble Beach. The Lodge overlooks Pebble Beach Golf Links and has sweeping views across the golf course to the Pacific Ocean. The rooms have views over Del Monte Forest and include an outdoor patio or balcony, gas-burning fireplace and a spacious seating area. Here is a virtual tour of this room type at The Lodge at Pebble Beach.

For your lodging at the 5 Star Ritz-Carlton at Half Moon Bay I suggest a Deluxe King Guest Room. The Ritz-Carlton is perched atop a rugged oceanside bluff in the San Francisco Bay Area, just 30 minutes from San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Designed to be both admired and experienced, the hotel celebrates small details with outdoor firepits surrounded by Adirondack chairs, a Club Lounge offering local wines and spa treatments.

For your golf I suggest Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Club, The Links at Spanish Bay, Half Moon Bay Ocean Course & Half Moon Bay Old Course. More information on your lodging and golf courses may be found below.

I have confirmed availability for an initial itinerary for you to review. It would look as follows:

Ranked #17 in Top 100 Golf Courses in the World

18 holes, 72 par, 6828 yards

Pebble Beach hosted its sixth U.S. Open in 2019, and its fifth U.S. Amateur in 2018. Pebble Beach has hosted a PGA TOUR event since 1947, rolling out its green-carpet fairways not just for the game’s best golfers, but also Hall-of-Fame athletes and Hollywood stars.

It has breathtaking beauty, hole number four tees off a stretch of seven stunning seaside holes perched atop dramatic cliffs, and Pebble Beach finishes with two of the most beautiful holes in all of golf. The course design and strategy is second to none and it  features some of the most famous par-3s (No. 7), par-4s (No. 8) and par-5s (No. 18) in golf and plenty of heroic shot-making opportunities.

Ranked #84 in Top 100 Golf Courses in the World

18 holes, 72 par, 6960 yards

One of the most respected and revered courses in the world begins with one of the greatest opening stretches in golf: five spectacular sand-splashed holes that cruise up and down a sea of dunes while showcasing sublime oceanfront scenery and shots you’ve surely never seen.

But the defining characteristic of Spyglass Hill is how starkly the first five holes juxtapose the rest of the round. Incredible ocean views give way to the understated natural beauty of the Del Monte Forest, as the final 13 holes relentlessly examine your game with a litany of bunkers, ponds and uphill tests. Pine Valley-by-the-Sea meets Augusta National, as Sports Illustrated eloquently described it.

18 holes, 72 par, 6821 yards

Meandering among the sweeping sand dunes along 17-Mile Drive, The Links at Spanish Bay unveils some of the most spectacular seaside views in Pebble Beach. The rolling fairways move through and around the dunescape, before returning to the white sand of Spanish Bay Beach for a thrilling finish along the coast.

The Links at Spanish Bay requires precision and patience while negotiating sand dunes, pot bunkers, challenging greens and an ocean breeze. Robert Trent Jones, Jr., Tom Watson and Sandy Tatum teamed up to artfully craft a distinctly Scottish look, blending green and golden hues against a spectacular beachside backdrop to produce a memorable experience unlike any other in Pebble Beach.

Ranked #12 in Top 100 Public Golf Courses in the USA

Situated on more than a mile of beautiful beaches along the San Mateo County Coast of California, Half Moon Bay Golf Links features 36 holes of stunning golf located just 30 minutes from San Francisco and San Jose.

Opening in 1997, The Ocean Course was designed by renowned architect Arthur Hills in traditional links style. You'll find firm, wide open fairways bordered by wispy native grasses and seasonal wildflowers. The changes in elevation adds drama, as does the prevailing on-shore winds, coastal fog and jaw-dropping sunsets.

While views of the Pacific can be found on nearly every hole, it is the final three holes that set the course apart, including the oceanside 18th hole, pictured to the right.

Opening in 1973, The Old Course is an American classic designed by Arnold Palmer and Francis Duane. A lush parkland design, it features distinguishing edges and corridor views of the Pacific. The course includes several challenging dog-legs, multiple water hazards and tree-lined fairways which rewards the strategic player over long-hitters.

With 5 tees to choose from however, you can choose how difficult the course plays. Favorites include the opening par-five, the Ritz-Carlton backed number 9 and the final four holes ending at the turn between hole 17 and 18 known as "Palmer Corner." The finishing hole is the postcard photo and one of golf's highest ranked holes in the country—a 405-yard par-four stunner framed by the blue Pacific.

This parkland-style golf course has played host to numerous U.S. Open Qualifiers and will test all facets of your game.

  • Relax in one of 15 massage rooms or five facial rooms at The Spa at Pebble Beach

Here is a virtual tour of one of the rooms at The Lodge.

Set between two of the most picturesque finishing holes in golf, The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay offers luxurious accommodations for your golf vacation.

Designed to be both admired and experienced, the hotel celebrates small details with outdoor firepits surrounded by Adirondack chairs, a Club Lounge offering local wines and spa treatments driven by the seasons.

Welcome to one of the world’s most unforgettable stretches of coastline. Big Sur's roughly 90-mile-long stretch of redwood- and fog-trimmed waterfront between Carmel-by-the-Sea and Hearst Castle draws you (and writers like Henry Miller and Beat Generation darling Jack Kerouac) in with a magic allure that is almost palpable. This is, quite simply, a place you want to be—bluffs, sea, and sky... The most beautiful and awe inspiring coastline in the world.

The classic drive through Big Sur, along twisting Highway 1, offers plenty of pullovers at places like seen-it-in-a-million-car-commercials Bixby Bridge. Stop at parks along the coastline and look up to see endangered California condors, North America’s largest birds, or look down to scan the swells for migrating whales or sea otters floating among dense beds of kelp, California’s signature seaweed.

The region’s beauty also makes it a magnet for exclusive, splurge-worthy hotels like the cliff-hugging Post Ranch Inn or luxurious Ventana Big Sur.

With vineyards dating to 1849, Eden Rift Vineyards is among the oldest, continually producing estate vineyards in California. A remote, pacific refuge located under the shadow of the Gavilan Mountain Range, the estate rests on the San Andreas Fault and is part of the Cienega Valley AVA. The views of the surrounding countryside are amazing.

Only 20 miles from the Pacific Ocean, this site benefits from an ideal, temperate maritime climate as well as the coveted calcareous soil requisite in the cultivation of vivid, energetic Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

An historic, head-trained block of Zinfandel, planted in 1906, still thrives outside the estate’s main residence, The Dickinson House. Designed by famed architect Walter Burley Griffin and also built in 1906, the Dickinson House is open for wine tasting Thursday through Monday, from 11am to 4pm.

The varieties most ideally suited to the wineries micro- and macro-climates are Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Zinfandel and Pinot Gris. Your trip includes a tour and tasting at Edin Rift.

Located at the ocean's edge, the Monterey Bay Aquarium is a window to marine life -- for dive masters and non-swimmers alike. It's home to sea otters, penguins, sharks, jellies and thousands of other marine animals and plants.f

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is a pioneering aquarium and renowned marine conservation organization. It's mission is to inspire conservation of the ocean. The aquarium is located on historic Cannery Row in Monterey and open daily except Christmas Day. Hours vary by season. Daily schedules available at or by calling (831) 648-4800.
