Many thanks for your inquiry, we would love to be your resource for all your golf travel needs!

Epic Golf Travel was founded over 25 years ago and our company partners are PGA Professionals who have over 75 years of golf industry and travel experience. We are members of the International Association of Golf Tour Operators (IAGTO), the leading international golf tourism organization, as well as the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA). Our commitment is to deliver an exceptional golf travel experience... every client, every trip, every time.

At Epic Golf Travel, our motto, “The Best Golf Vacations on the Planet”, is our sincere promise to deliver an exceptional golf travel experience... every trip you take and every time you travel with us.

To this end, we spend more hours planning and executing your trip than any other golf tour company in the industry. For those who seek the absolute best golfing experience, we believe you’ll appreciate our commitment to you and your golf travel plans.

The attached schedule is based on 8 golfers accompanied by their non-golfing spouses and includes 12 nights luxury accommodations, 6 rounds of golf, breakfast at Pinehurst and numerous other inclusions listed below.

I chose the dates listed because they were the most economical way to build your trip in the late-March timeframe. We can easily move both the starting day and dates either earlier or later, it would just involve a slight change in the pricing.

Additionally, I have not yet quoted transportation, as that will take more research to find a quality company with an excellent safety record and to also fully gameplan what will work the best for you. I will say, it should be fairly cost-effective, as you will be dividing the cost between 8 couples.

Your suggested lodging is the Four-Diamond Carolina Hotel at the Pinehurst Resort, the Five Star Inn & Club at Harbour Town in Sea Pines Resort and the Hyatt Regency on the Riverwalk in Savannah.

Your suggested golf has you playing 6 rounds of golf; Pinehurst #1, Pinehurst #2, Southern Pines, Harbour Town Golf Links, Atlantic Dunes and the Robert Trent Jones Course at Palmetto Dunes. All are very playable from the forward tees and I think you and the group will enjoy playing them all. More information on your lodging and golf courses may be found below.

I hope this initial schedule is to your liking, I have included a brief description below of your lodging and golf courses for your review. Of course, everything included can be added to, subtracted from, updated or adjusted once you have had a chance to review.

Our prices INCLUDE ALL TAXES AND ANY RESORT OR LODGING FEES, there are no hidden costs of any kind.

Your monies are 100% protected from any Coronavirus related issues. Your trip can be rescheduled with no penalty should there be any governmental closures, delays or travel bans specific to COVID-19.

This trip itinerary is a quotation only and therefore remains subject to availability.

GOLF COURSES

GOLF COURSES

PINEHURST #1

It all started here in 1898. Dr. Leroy Culver built the first nine holes and John Dunn Tucker added the next nine, but it is clearly Donald Ross’s touch that you feel on Pinehurst’s first golf course.

Recalling his Scottish heritage, Ross made liberal use of bunkers, both across the fairway and around the green. Don’t let the short 6,089-yard par 70 fool you; wild drives or a sloppy short game can make for a long day. No. 1 was a great start for Pinehurst, and it’s a great start for your visit.

PINEHURST #2

Ranked #25 in Top 100 Golf Courses in the World

A three-time U.S. Open Site. A three-time winner of Travel + Leisure Golf Magazine’s Best Golf Resort in America award. The home of the famed No. 2 golf course. Pinehurst Resort seems to have it all when it comes to great golf destinations.

Around the world, Pinehurst is where the American golf story is rooted, and where it continues to flourish. Most know of its modern history – with stories like the Payne Stewart putt that won the 1999 U.S. Open. But locked with its archives are thousands of moments that define each generation for the past 100 years. Pinehurst is America’s first golf resort, and continues to be one of its' best.

SOUTHERN PINES GOLF CLUB

Ranked #40 in Top 100 Golf Courses in North Carolina

Southern Pines opened as a 9 hole course in 1906. Donald Ross did extensive work and completed all 18 holes in 1914. Although it is typically not as "manicured" in and around the course as other resort courses, Southern Pines is an original Donald Ross design and certainly on our list of must play courses.

The unending appeal of this course is the succession of one fine hole after another, this being the direct result of Ross's elegant routing of the tract over the rolling, sandy hills. Walter Hagen, Patty Berg and Sam Snead have all played here and enjoyed the challenge.

Neither length nor water are factors to contend with, nor is there anything forced or contrived about the course. Every hole features at least 20 feet of elevation change so it remains interesting throughout the round. Many greens sit on the high points of a hole, allowing Ross to create deep greenside bunkers.

HARBOUR TOWN GOLF LINKS

18 holes, 71 par, 7,009 yards

It's the course that literally put Hilton Head Island on the world golf map, and now more than 40 years later, Harbour Town Golf Links remains one of the most revered courses in the world. Home to the RBC Heritage, South Carolina’s only PGA TOUR event, this distinguished course places a premium on finesse, imagination and shot making, rather than strength.

Put your game to the ultimate test against a collection of par threes, ranked among the world’s finest, and a par four 18th hole that is one of the most recognizable holes in all of golf. The crowning achievement of famed designer Pete Dye, no golf excursion to Hilton Head Island is complete without experiencing this Lowcountry legend.

ATLANTIC DUNES GOLF CLUB

18 holes, 72 par, 7,065 yards

Atlantic Dunes by Davis Love III is a complete reconstruction of The Sea Pines Resort's historic Ocean Course, the first course built on Hilton Head Island. Featuring a pronounced seaside ambience and Lowcountry feel accented by coquina shells and seaside grass, Atlantic Dunes incorporates elements of the surrounding beachfront along with the area's native pines and oaks.

Atlantic Dunes benefits both visually and strategically from the restoration of natural sand dunes, as well as the creation of new dunes that blend seamlessly into the design. Tens of thousands of indigenous plants have been installed in these areas to complete the seaside feel, while the playing surface is a blend of cutting-edge grasses matching the superior strains of The Sea Pines Resort's two other acclaimed courses.

PALMETTO DUNES JONES COURSE

Named South Carolina’s Golf Course of the Year, the Robert Trent Jones Oceanfront Course is widely renowned for its open, inviting layout and spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean.

A true pinnacle of design, this golf course appeals to novices as well as experienced players. Home to one of only two oceanfront holes on Hilton Head Island, this much-loved course offers wide fairways, expansive greens, challenging bunkers and subtle elevation changes.

The most wide open of the three Palmetto Dunes layouts, the Jones golf course changes with the breezes rolling in from the Atlantic Ocean, making every hole play differently whenever the winds change.

From spas, to distilleries, wildlife refuges to remote islands, you'll commune with nature like never before. You'll also have the opportunity to visit historic lighthouses, enjoy city tours and horse & carriage rides and relax in the evening with real Southern cooking, including barbecue and hush puppies!

THE SPA AT PINEHURST

The Spa at Pinehurst is designed to give you complete tranquility, no matter what treatment you receive and no matter how you feel beforehand!

The treatments offered are relaxing, wonderful and varied and include multiple massage therapies, over a dozen different types of facials, body treatments, nail care, cryotherapy and many more.

Spend an hour or a whole day here, there's plenty of room to rest and relax before or after your treatments.

HILTON HEAD DISTILLERY

Hilton Head Distillery offers exceptionally drinkable spirits and a relaxed, family-friendly environment. They offer a variety of rums, including Coconut Rum, Bananas Foster Rum and Espresso Rum. Their handmade spirits also include gin, vodka and wonderfully flavored whiskeys such as apple & maple, peach, butterscotch and honeysuckle.

Their motto is that enjoying craft spirits is a unique voyage best shared. We couldn't agree more.

PINCKNEY ISLAND NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE

Pinckney Island National Wildlife Refuge, located near the bridge to Hilton Head Island, offers an ideal place to enjoy the natural beauty of the Lowcountry.

The 4,000 acre refuge was once part of the plantation of Major General Charles Cotesworth Pinckney, a prominent lawyer active in South Carolina politics from 1801 to 1815. Few traces of the island's plantation in the 1800's exist today.

A wide variety of land types are found on Pinckney Island alone: salt marsh, forestland, brushland, fallow field and freshwater ponds. In combination, these habitats support a diversity of bird and plant life. Wildlife commonly observed on Pinckney Island include waterfowl, shorebirds, wading birds, raptors, neo-tropical migrants, white-tailed deer and American alligators, with large concentrations of white ibis, herons, and egrets.

DAUFUSKIE ISLAND

Daufuskie Island offers Hilton Head vacationers a getaway within a getaway. The island, located west of Harbour Town across the Calibogue Sound, feels like a world away thanks to its remote nature.

Daufuskie is only accessible by ferry, has few inhabitants (around 300 full-time residents), is almost completely devoid of cars and is awash in hundreds-year-old Spanish moss oak trees and crowdless beaches. The island is also a historical hub, so much so that it was added to the list of National Registry of Historic Places in 1982.

Here, you can glide down one of the island's many bike-friendly trails, kayak or paddleboard around the waterways, ride horses or golf along the beach. If you're interested in learning more about the island's history, you can take a self-guided tour along the Robert Kennedy Historic Trail, which takes visitors to various historical sites around the island. The island is also home to art studios and galleries, as well as a rum distillery and a community-run farm.

RIVERBOAT SIGHTSEEING CRUISE

Learn about Georgia's 'First City' of Savannah from the perspective of the water during your 90-Minute Sightseeing Riverboat Cruise.

Enjoy panoramic views of the water as you listen to the captain regale you with tales and facts about the city and surrounding port. As a bonus you'll pass by Old Fort Jackson, one of the oldest artillery pieces in the country.

Enjoy panoramic views and great photo opportunities of the water and Savannah skyline

TYBEE ISLAND LIGHTHOUSE & DOLPHIN CRUISE

Tybee Island Lighthouse is a complete light station near Savannah whose history dates back to 1736. The tower stands 145 feet tall and has three Light Keeper's Cottages nearby. A small 1812 Summer Kitchen holds archaeological finds.

Across the street is an 1899 Military Battery that houses the Tybee Island Museum. Exhibits cover the time of the Euchee tribe, the history of Fort Screven, Tybee's Golden Era and more. A yellow raised cottage adjacent to the property showcases 1900s Tybee architecture.

THE HISTORIC DISTRICT OF SAVANNAH

If these cobblestone streets could talk, imagine the stories they’d tell. Savannah's historic district is awash in 250 year old Live Oaks, beautiful city squares, victorian homes and food on every block.

Find landmarks on every corner in the Historic Landmark District, the hub of downtown Savannah. Stroll through 22 park squares, and explore museums, monuments, restored 18th-century homes, boutiques and more than 100 restaurants.
