Thanks to you and the group for your thoughts on updating your Scotland/Ireland itinerary. I have made the changes to your trip that you outlined in your most recent emails.
Your itinerary still includes 10 days, 9 nights, 6 rounds of golf and transportation throughout both countries. We have eliminated Belfast and added those nights and rounds to Killarney instead.
I have included in your trip lodging and golf that were available to book, that were a good balance of quality and price point and that I have personal either stayed in or played.
Regarding pricing, the cost of the trip has not come down... the golfer and non-golfer rates are still the same as before. However, these prices can no longer increase by up to 10% (as was noted in the previous quote). This is because I was able to negotiate with both hotels and each golf course to lock in your rates for 2027. So realistically, the cost of the trip has decreased by at least several hundred dollars per person.
Your trip is 10 days, 9 nights and includes 6 rounds of golf. You will play Lundin Links, Crail Balcomie GC and Ladybank GC in St Andrews. You'll then play Ballybunion Cashen Course, Dooks GC and Dingle GC in Ireland. You'll stay at the 5 Star Fairmont Hotel in St Andrews and the 4 Star Killarney Plaza Hotel in Killarney.
In Scotland, your trip includes transfers to and from the Edinburgh Airport to the Fairmont Hotel, and to and from Lundin Links GC, Crail Balcomie GC & Ladybank GC. When you arrive in Ireland, you will be met by your private coach & driver, who will be with you full time for the remainder of the trip.
Your trip also includes a full Scottish or Irish breakfast each morning, unlimited use of all practice facilities and all taxes, resort & lodging fees.
Please keep in mind that tee times and room availability can change until confirmed. Once you’re comfortable with the direction, I can place short courtesy holds where available and provide your deposit details and timelines to secure your trip.

The Old Course
The Old Course is not guaranteed as part of this trip and the greens fees are not included... however, we will enter the entire group into this Fall's Ballot, as well as the Daily Ballot once you are in St Andrews.
There are 3 ways to play The Old Course without a guaranteed tee time...
There is a September ballot that we will enter the group in for your travel dates next year. Should you be drawn, we will add The Old Course to your golf schedule and rearrange your existing golf to another day or time.
Should you not be drawn in this September's ballot for play during your trip, there are still two ways to play The Old Course... we will apply for the Daily Ballot for you while you are in St Andrews or you apply in person for the Singles Draw while in St Andrews.
Should someone be drawn to play, they would pay the standard greens fee rate (£325.00 in 2026) at the Starters Building on the day of play. There is no additional fee or charge associated with playing The Old Course using the ballot system.

Transportation

LUNDIN LINKS GOLF CLUB
18 holes, 71 par, 6,371 yards
The Lundin Golf Club was founded in May of 1868 and the course remains largely as it was some 100 years ago.
The first five holes are in classic links tradition playing from the Clubhouse to the Mile Dyke. Players then cross the now extinct railway line and play the nine ‘new’ holes on what one might describe as a cross between links and parkland turf. Then back across the railway, the last four holes revert to the genuine links tradition.
Today Lundin Golf Club offers some of the finest examples of links holes in Scotland and for many years has been a worthy participant in the Final Qualifying stages of The Open prior to its staging at St. Andrews.
CRAIL BALCOMIE LINKS
Ranked #67 in Top 100 Golf Courses in Scotland
One of the world's oldest golf clubs, Crail Golfing Society was founded in February 1786 and initially comprised membership of 11 local golfers. The club's original home was located at Sauchope just outside the picturesque fishing village of Crail and it was not until 1895, with the help of Old Tom Morris did they relocate to their present home at Balcomie Golf Links.
The Balcomie Links at Crail, though not particularly long, is a truly beautiful venue with superb views of the North Sea from every tee. Far removed from the bustle of everyday life, many holes climb and tumble alongside the water's edge and the rocky outcrops of the Forth shore. A truly memorable round and one not to miss.
LADYBANK GOLF CLUB
Ranked #64 in Top 100 Golf Courses in Scotland
Recently Ranked No 2 in Great Britain's Top 100 Courses under £200 by National Club Golfer magazine, Ladybank Golf Club provides a classic heathland test and enjoys a reputation as one of the finest inland layouts in Scotland.
Opened in 1879 and designed by legendary Old Tom Morris, Ladybank has played host to Open Championship qualifying numerous times over the years. It is a rare beast in Fife – a tremendous inland course. Ladybank measures just over 6,600 from the medal tees, making great use of its heathland terrain. It has changed a little over the years, keeping the original Morris layout intact and requiring the golfer to display real precision to hit the small and often contoured greens.
Red squirrels, in decline in the UK, are abundant residents of the Scotch pines in and around the course, and can often be seen in the broad-leaved species of beech tree in the long avenue leading to the Clubhouse.
BALLYBUNION GOLF CLUB CASHEN COURSE
18 holes, 72 par, 6,290 yards
If the Cashen Course at Ballybunion were situated anywhere else rather than adjacent to the world-famous Old Course, it would attract far more attention, fans and plaudits than it does.
Although built on similar, stirring terrain to the Old Course in the 1980s, this Robert Trent Jones course is more irascible, more spectacular, more brutal and more unforgiving than its older, more celebrated sibling.
Visitors can expect an eventful round, with testing crosswinds, formidable bunkers & hollows, tall sand dunes, thick grassy dunes, rolling greens & stunning views of the Atlantic. If you can appreciate the game of yesteryear then the Cashen Course is a place you will embrace with passion.
DOOKS GOLF CLUB

Environmentally, Dooks Golf Club is one of the most natural golf courses in the world. Everything is in harmony with its surroundings – it’s a beautiful place for golf.
The course is enchantingly located on a promontory on the southern side of Dingle Bay. The MacGillycuddy’s Reeks Mountains stand to the south and the sandy peninsulas of Rossbehy and Inch Point are to the north. The vista is simply breathtaking.

THE R&A WORLD GOLF MUSEUM
From the 16th century to the present day, the whole history of the great game is explored at The British Golf Museum. Discover the equipment, personalities and prizes of our much loved sport. Brought to life with hands on activities, interactives and modern interpretation, this is a must see attraction.
Visit their new flagship exhibition space, 'The Open Gallery', exploring the rich history of golf's oldest Major. Also in the Museum there are two exciting temporary exhibitions on golfing greats Sir Henry Cotton and Freddie Tait. Please visit throughout the year for their program of weekly events and lecture series.
The museum is a 5 minute walk from the town centre and is situated directly opposite The Royal and Ancient Clubhouse. There is a large car park behind the museum, operated by Fife Council and a coach drop off point.
THE HIMALAYA'S PUTTING COURSE
A private club founded in 1867, the St Andrews Ladies' Putting Club course is open to the public daily from April to September (and in March and October, weather permitting).
Before 1860 the caddies of St Andrews had laid out a small putting area near where Rusacks Hotel now stands. They would play to pass the time while waiting for a bag. When the course was quiet a few young ladies would play.
There was some tension between the caddies and the ladies, so much so that it was decided a piece of ground be found where the ladies could play away from the caddies. There was an unused piece of ground to the north of the Swilcan Burn. The ground was rough with whins which were used by local washerwomen to dry clothes, and pitted with rabbit holes. A nine hole course was laid out by Old Tom Morris, requiring a cleek and a putter, and so the St Andrews Ladies’ Golf Club was formed in 1867.
The Himalayas lie between the famous Old Course and the spectacular West Sands, only a ten minute walk from the center of St Andrews.
EDINBURGH CASTLE
Edinburgh Castle has played a pivotal role in Scottish history, both as a royal residence and as a military stronghold. The castle last saw military action in 1745 and from then until the 1920s it served as the British army's main base in Scotland. Today it is one of Scotland's most atmospheric and popular tourist attractions.
The brooding, black crags of Castle Rock, rising above the western end of Princes St, are the very reason for Edinburgh's existence. This rocky hill was the most easily defended hilltop on the invasion route between England and central Scotland, a route followed by countless armies from the Roman legions of the 1st and 2nd centuries AD to the Jacobite troops of Bonnie Prince Charlie in 1745.
The castle is open year-round with tour hours ranging from 9.30am to 5pm.
KINGSBARNS DISTILLERY, ST ANDREWS
Realizing there was no nearby whisky distillery to satisfy those visiting St Andrews, and having come across a derelict 18th century farm situated just a short distance from Kingsbarns, former Old Course caddie Douglas Clement decided to build his own.
Kingsbarns Distillery was opened in 2014 and began producing a limited run of single malt scotch whisky each year.
The distillery tour is led by one of their senior guides and is suitable for smaller groups who have time to enjoy a more leisurely visit and a longer tutored whisky tasting.
CAUSEWAY COASTAL ROUTE
Scenic, dramatic and inspiring, the Causeway Coastal Route is a constant feature of global top tens and top fives when it comes to visitor experiences and bucket lists. Around every corner of this spectacular winding route you’ll find thrills and adventure, as well as peaceful retreats. The variety along the coastal route means there’s something for everyone and a multitude of ways you can see it.
The route runs north along the coast from Belfast and includes sweeping views of the sea, multiple castles, lighthouses, waterfalls, cliff walks, Game of Thrones locations, suspension bridges, tunnels, river gorges and the famous Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge.
You'll head north along the east coast of Northern Ireland and then past Royal Portrush Golf Club and across the top northern coast of the country. This is perhaps one of the most inspiring and beautiful drives in the world.
THE RING OF KERRY
Ireland's longest circular route covers some staggeringly beautiful scenery, including lakes, beaches, glens, castle ruins, off-shore islands, mountains and, of course, the Atlantic Ocean to the west. A journey around the Ring of Kerry is a must for any first-time visitor to Ireland.
In a car or bus, the Ring of Kerry's 180 km can provide distractions enough to fill a day, but there is no shortage of places to stay overnight and, depending on your interests, you can certainly find plenty of interesting diversions to make it a trip of two or more days.
DINGLE & THE DINGLE PENINSULA
The Dingle Peninsula stretches 30 miles into the Atlantic Ocean on the south-west coast on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way. The peninsula is dominated by the range of mountains that form its spine, running from the Slieve Mish range to the Conor Pass and Mount Brandon, Ireland’s second highest peak. The magnificent coastline consists of steep sea-cliffs such as Slea Head , dramatic headlands broken by sandy beaches, with the award-winning beach at Inch in the south and the tombolo of Maharees to the north.
The peninsula has something to offer to everyone... ancient walking trails, cycling delights, links golf, horse riding trails, surfing, kayaking, eco boat tours, windsurfing, diving, rowing, sailing, angling, swimming at Blue Flag beaches, an aquarium, pet farms, climbing wall, educational holidays, immersive sports events, heritage landmarks and shopping.
The small port town of Dingle sits directly on the Atlantic Coast and boasts a wealth of pubs, restaurants, shopping and wonderful views of he sea and the mountains.
THE BLARNEY CASTLE & STONE
Built nearly six hundred years ago by one of Ireland's greatest chieftains, Cormac MacCarthy, and has been attracting attention ever since. Over the last few hundred years, millions have flocked to Blarney making it a world landmark and one of Ireland's greatest treasures.
Now that might have something to do with the Blarney Stone, the legendary Stone of Eloquence, found at the top of the tower. For over 200 years, world statesmen, literary giants, and legends of the silver screen have joined the millions of pilgrims climbing the steps to kiss the Blarney Stone and gain the gift of eloquence. Its powers are unquestioned but its story still creates debate.
Blarney Castle's gardens are one of the most visited in Ireland and the 60 acres are a joy to explore. Visit the prehistoric Fern Garden, a deadly Poison Garden, and the magical Rock Close with its ancient Yew trees and druidic stones. Stroll by the lake, river side and woodlands or in the dazzlingly beautiful arboretums.
CLIFFS OF MOHER
One of Ireland’s favorite visitor experiences and tourist attractions, the Cliffs of Moher tower over the rugged west County Clare coast.
Visually spectacular, the Cliffs of Moher sit astride the striking landscape of the Burren on one side and the Wild Atlantic Ocean on the other. Rising out of the Atlantic waters to a height of over 700 feet at O’Brien’s Tower and running along the coast of Clare for almost 8 miles, the Cliffs of Moher were formed over 320 million years ago, and today form part of the Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark.
The Cliffs of Moher Experience offers the perfect day out with friends or family in a stunning natural environment. The 1,000 feet of safe, paved pathways lead to beautifully appointed viewing areas from which the Aran Islands, Galway Bay, the Maamtaurks and even faraway Kerry can be viewed on clear days.
