THE CLASSIC CLUB

The Classic Club in Palm Desert is a par-72 course designed by the legendary Arnold Palmer with input from the PGA TOUR.

The layout is defined by its rolling terrain, generous landing areas, and dramatic use of water, with roughly 30 acres of lakes, streams, and creeks woven throughout the property and connected by 14 stone bridges.

The fairways are lined with more than 5,000 pine, California pepper, and olive trees, creating a lush, parkland-like feel that’s distinct from the typical desert courses in the Coachella Valley, all set against the backdrop of mountain vistas.

What makes Classic Club stand out is not just its scale but its pedigree and shot variety. The course served as host for the PGA TOUR’s Bob Hope Desert Classic from 2006 through 2008. It has received dozens of awards, including ranking among the “Top 10 Best Desert Courses” and listings in Golfweek’s Best You Can Play surveys.

SILVERROCK RESORT GOLF CLUB

Located in La Quinta, SilverRock Resort is set dramatically at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains. Designed by Arnold Palmer, the course gained international fame as a host of the PGA Tour's Bob Hope Classic from 2008 to 2011.

It is widely recognized as one of the longest and most formidable layouts in the Coachella Valley, spanning over 200 acres and stretching up to 7,239 yards from the back tees.

The course layout is characterized by its massive native bunkers, wide fairways, and over 30 acres of water features. The course offers a visually stunning experience where golfers frequently spot Big Horn Sheep on the adjacent cliffs, providing a true desert wilderness feel.

DESERT SPRINGS PALM COURSE & VALLEY COURSE

The JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa features two 18-hole championship courses—the Palm and the Valley—designed by Ted Robinson, Sr. in 1986, renowned for extensive water features, scenic Santa Rosa Mountain views and meticulously maintained Bermuda grass.

Known for its "King of Waterscapes" style, the Palm Course features dramatic water hazards on over half the holes. The back nine is scenic, featuring "Flamingo Corner" on the 16th and a water-lined 18th hole. This is a classic Palm Springs resort layout with palm trees and rolling greens, ideal for a traditional desert golf experience.

The Valley Course features rolling fairways, steep hillsides, and more technical, undulating terrain. The course offers a slightly more challenging, shot-maker's layout compared to the Palm course, with fewer, yet more strategic, water hazards. The Valley course is known for quicker greens and a faster pace of play, winding around resort villas.

YOUR LODGING

WESTIN RANCHO MIRAGE GOLF RESORT & SPA

The Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa is renowned for its lush landscaping and championship golf facilities.

The hotel offers 512 guestrooms and suites, many of which provide private balconies or patios with scenic views of the surrounding desert mountains and the resort's meticulously maintained grounds.

To help travelers unwind, rooms are stocked with a Sleep Well amenity kit that includes lavender balm to apply to pulse points and sleep sound machines to mask ambient noise.

The living space offers a dedicated work desk and high-speed Wi-Fi access. Guest rooms also include a large flat-screen TV with cable, a mini-refrigerator, a laptop-compatible safe, and a coffee maker featuring Starbucks coffee and Tazo teas.
