THE GOLF CLUB AT TERRA LAGO - NORTH & SOUTH COURSES
The Golf Club at Terra Lago features two wonderful layouts... the North Course and South Course, both are championship layouts at this stunning 36-hole desert oasis in Indio, California.
Both eighteens are immersed in the natural desert landscape of the Indio foothills and largely free of course-side housing. The North Course is know from television, being featured from 1999 to 2002 as host of the PGA Tour Skins Game. Played on Thanksgiving Weekend, the event featured golfing greats such as Tiger Woods, Fred Couples, Greg Norman and Phil Mickelson.
The North Course is known for its dramatic elevation changes, views and an island green par 3. The fairways are narrow in spots and lined with natural desert vegetation. There are spectacular water holes on the back nine.
The South course presents smaller greens than its sister course, demanding more precise approaches. Landing areas from the tee are generous, however and water comes into play on 5 holes.
DESERT WILLOW FIRECLIFF COURSE
VOTED #1 for the 3rd Year in a row by Desert Golf Magazine as the BEST PUBLIC ACCESS GOLF COURSE!
The Firecliff golf course, measuring 7,056 yards, is a true test of skill where golfers must negotiate their way around extensive natural areas, numerous water features and more than 100 bunkers/waste areas. While enjoying your round, remember to take in your surroundings and appreciate the Desert Willow views and beauty.
The course opened in 1997 and was designed by noted golf course architect Michael Hurdzan with input from PGA Tour player John Cook.
DESERT WILLOW MOUNTAINVIEW COURSE
The Mountain View course at Desert Willow Golf Resort was designed to be a transition between the more challenging, tournament-quality Firecliff course and the traditional course of fence to fence turfgrass, flowers and flowing water. Mountain View was intended to have each of these characteristics, but with its own distinct personality.
The course measure 6,913 yards and is rated just slightly less difficult than it's sister course, Firecliff. With more forgiving fairways, 98 well-placed bunkers, sloping greens, and seven water features, Mountain View still requires the best from golfers of all levels.
WESTIN RANCH MIRAGE RESORT - PETE DYE COURSE
The Pete Dye Resort Course at the Westin Rancho Mirage first opened in 1987 and is one of the more tame Pete Dye designs in his portfolio. It is often described as "potentially diabolical, yet Indescribably playable."
This “must play” Pete Dye Course is notorious for its picturesque panoramic views of Rancho Mirage. It follows Pete Dye’s classic course design, featuring railroad tie borders around the tee boxes and ponds. The course has four Par 3’s, twelve Par 4’s, and two Par 5’s.
